Welcome to Dave Wilson Online. I’m Dave Wilson, an Author, Professional Speaker and Trainer from Birmingham, Alabama.

As you can see from this first example, all of my posts will be offered in three forms of media to accommodate all three types of learners…visual, auditory and written word. Whatever category you fall into, I want you to get the greatest possible benefit out of every conversation we have together, now and into the future. This way, you’re guaranteed the best opportunity to understand, accept and implement the proven, life-changing ideas we’ll be discussing.

I started this community so that I could share my extraordinary life-transformation story with the millions of folks out there who, like you, are looking to escape an unfulfilled and unsatisfying life…no matter if it’s your professional or personal life that’s not in line with your hopes and dreams for your future.

I’m here to offer you the undeniably amazing and powerful life-changing psychic tools that I’ve discovered, internalized and implemented into my own life over the past five years…with phenomenal results…after a lifetime of frustration and unrealized potential.

My goal as an author and speaker is to show you (and the rest of the world) how you can understand, take control of, and optimize your subconscious-level thinking. Just in case you don’t already know, this is the part of your mind that has been responsible for storing every aspect of your personality – good or bad – during your entire life. If there are things about yourself, your situation or station that you want to change, this is the starting point…and the beginning of our journey together down the path of self-discovery.

So let’s begin what I hope will become a lifelong conversation as we walk down the path of self-discovery and personal transformation together. This first blog post is all about explaining to you what I intend to do with the rest of my life, why I feel compelled to do so, and the power that I believe my message has to change the lives of thousands, and hopefully millions of people around the world.

My first bent-brain episode occurred when I was seven years old. I was in the second grade and got caught misbehaving in class. On the way down the hall, I chose to leave school and walk home instead of going to the principal’s office to get the paddling I knew was waiting. Because of this outrageous choice, the next day I went through a battery of psychological tests at the doctor’s office, after which I was diagnosed with ADHD and put on Ritalin three times a day for the next seven years.

From the sixth grade all the way through graduation, school was a social nightmare for me for reasons we’ll get into later on down the path. Because I didn’t have the mental discipline to make good enough grades to stay in college, two years later I joined the USAF in November 1978. Socially, this wasn’t much better for me, and six years later I got out with training as an electrician and moved from Tokyo, Japan with my second wife to her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

After divorcing her in ‘86, I moved back home to Birmingham in December of 1988 and continued to work as an electrician. In May of 1991, I was almost electrocuted by a coworker’s mistake, and this obviously scared me pretty bad. I then began to consider other options for my future. Two years later, I was enrolled full-time at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, to pursue a degree as a Physical Therapist.

I didn’t make A’s in the core curriculum classes that were necessary to grant an interview for the Physical Therapy two-year professional school. Very bitter and frustrated with myself and my lack of discipline, I stayed at South for one more year and then applied and got accepted into the Licensed PT Assistant Associates Degree Program of a local community college in Mobile, where I graduated with Honors in 1996 and took a job in New Orleans.

I worked there for three years and was transferred to another location, but lost that job a few months later, and was unable to find another one. In April of 2000, I decided that it would be “okay” to steal some money to help me get out of about $60,000 worth of debt…but I got caught. I then spent the next four years and three months in the Louisiana prison system.

Having to deal with all of the BS attitudes and opinions while being locked up had a profound impact on my attitude. I told myself that I had a plan to do better, but I didn’t have a clue what that plan was. I was released in July, 2004. About a year later, in May of 2005, I came across the teachings of Personal Development, and seemingly overnight, my life immediately began to change from anything I’d ever known before.

I began to see myself and my outlook on life in an entirely new light. All of the self-hatred that I had been heaping on myself for the previous 47 years was very suddenly explained and resolved through the wisdom of these teachings, and I was quickly able to make a complete shift in everything that I’d always believed to be true about myself, my opportunities and unexplored potential.

I moved back to Birmingham in April of 2007, and soon after, I realized that I had a life-changing message that I could share with others. This realization brought back to my mind the one quote that has become the central focus of my life for the past three years. It simply said, “If you have knowledge or information that you know would help others, it is your responsibility to share it with as many people as possible. If you don’t, you will be robbing them of the opportunity to learn and grow as you have.”

This sudden realization of such a powerful message coupled with my ever growing self-confidence led me to join Toastmasters International so that I could elevate my speaking skills to match the power of the message I had to share with the world. Once I began to share my story with my fellow Toastmasters, I very quickly gained a new reputation as a person that other people could look to as a model and inspiration for overcoming their own problems and insecurities.

This new self-image was completely foreign to me after a lifetime of self-hatred and self-doubt. This has been one of the most powerful aspects of my own personal transformation and evolution from that unhappy and frustrated person of the past into the “inspirational” person I have become…without actually trying to become that person. It just happened on its own as I continued to evolve into the person I now believed I was capable of being…but never had any evidence of before.

Now I find myself not only a mentor for positive change to others, but also the author of what I believe is a very powerful book in the area of thought that I owe so much to. These profound changes in my life, after overcoming so much heartache, frustration and unsatisfying experiences, literally compel me to share my message with as many people as possible. This is what drove me past any disbelief I had about my abilities to write that book and share my feelings and experiences with the rest of the world.

I hope that you will join me on this ongoing journey of self-discovery. If you do, I will walk alongside you down the path of your own self-discovery and personal evolution now and into the future. I have so many things to share with you that will open your eyes to your own possibilities, and completely erase the veil of denial and self-limiting beliefs of those around you that have secretly held you back from becoming the person that we are all truly capable of being.

I already believe in your abilities to make this happen, even if you don’t yet, because I’ve already implemented each and every one of these powerful and life-changing concepts into my own life…with many amazing and rather profound results. Now, I’ve created an overwhelmingly powerful system of psychic tools and mental weapons that will create the same outstanding results in your life as well. I look forward to seeing you on the path…
